Deborah Pearce began practicing appellate law exclusively in 1997 following several years of practice at the prestigious New Orleans law firm of Stone, Pigman, Walther, Wittmann & Hutchinson. Prior to that time, she clerked for the Honorable Henry A. Politz, Chief Judge of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Deborah Pearce is currently a Governor for the Fifth Circuit Bar Association, for which she served as President from 2004-2006, and a Member of the Federal Bar Association, for which she served as the National Chairperson of the Appellate Law Section.
Deborah Pearce was named the Top Civil Law Graduate of her class and received several writing awards, including the Rufus C. Harris Law Review Award for Outstanding Writing, the Cuthbert S. Baldwin Award for Superior Jurisprudence, and the Yippy Award for Excellence in Performance.
