'Security, Justice and Liberty in a Free Society,' April 14, 2005, 5:30 p.m., Room 110

The Right Honourable Sir Nicholas Lyell, QC will present a speech entitled “Security, Justice and Liberty in a Free Society" on Thursday, April 14, 2005, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 110 of  Tulane Law School.

Sir Nicholas served as the Attorney General and Solicitor General of England and Wales for 10 years.  He was the longest continuously serving law officer in England and Wales having served over 20 years as a member of Parliament.

Brooke Bennett, President of the World Affairs Forum at Tulane, says:  “We are very pleased to be hosting someone of Sir Nicholas' stature and reputation at Tulane Law School and are looking forward to his unique international perspective on security issues.  This event helps solidify Tulane Law School’s reputation as a leader in the study and understanding of International Law.”

The event is being hosted by the World Affairs Forum at Tulane, the Tulane Law School Federalist Society and the Tulane Law School International Law Society.
