On Friday, August 25, 2012, Tulane Law School held its 33rd Swearing In Ceremony at the Louisiana Supreme Court. Justice Greg Gerard Guidry administered an oath to allow sixty-four third-year students to appear in state courts on behalf of qualifying clients under the direction of Tulane supervising faculty. Under Louisiana Supreme Court Rule XX, student attorneys in the Civil Litigation Clinic, Criminal Defense Clinic, Environmental Law Clinic, Domestic Violence Law Clinic & Juvenile Litigation Clinic learn practice skills by representing actual clients in real cases, while simultaneously earning credit toward their law degrees.
