Tulane University issued the following notice:
Dear Tulane Community:
With the vast majority of K-12 schools closing due to anticipated heavy rainfall and flooding, many of our faculty and staff will need to be home with their children. Therefore, Tulane’s campuses in New Orleans, Elmwood and the Northshore will close on Friday, March 11.
All classes will be canceled. Students with questions about available services should contact their RAs. Additional information will be provided from Student Affairs regarding food service in the morning.
Essential personnel are expected to report to work. Anyone unclear about their status as essential or non-essential should check with their supervisor. The School of Medicine will continue faculty and resident clinical activities and needed laboratory activities.
Please monitor http://emergency.tulane.edu/ for the most up-to-date information on campus conditions. Information is also available through the Tulane AlertLine at 504-862-8080 or 1-877-862-8080.
Tulane Law School, therefore, has canceled classes for March 11, and Weinmann Hall is closed for regular operations. Classes will be rescheduled, with details to come later.
Anyone involved in a special activity scheduled for March 11 should contact the event coordinator for information about contingency plans.
