Tulane Grads Lead State on Bar Exam

Tulane University Law School graduates had the highest passing rate on the Louisiana State Bar Exam administered in July, according to results released by the Louisiana Supreme Court Committee.

In all, 91 percent of Tulane students passed the bar on their first attempt, compared to the state average of 79.6 percent.

“We congratulate our graduates on their success on the bar exam and look forward to following their future successes as they launch their careers,” said Dean David Meyer.

Tulane also led the state among all test-takers, including those who were taking the exam a second time or more, with 85 percent of Tulane students passing. The state average among that group is 72 percent passing.

Tulane Law School graduates also topped the state in performance on the Louisiana Bar Exam during its last administration in February 2017.
