The Law School Financial Aid Office has identified a number of outside scholarships for which Tulane law students may be eligible.  Students are encouraged to research these and other scholarship opportunities further.


Donald W. Banner Diversity Scholarship
Banner & Witcoff Ltd.

Banner & Witcoff offers the Donald W. Banner Diversity Scholarship for law students.  This scholarship is part of Banner & Witcoff's commitment to fostering the development of intellectual property lawyers from diverse backgrounds.  Scholarship recipients will be selected by the Donald W. Banner Diversity Scholarship review board based on the following criteria:  academic merit, commitment to the pursuit of a career in IP law, member of a historically under-represented group in IP law, written communication skills, oral communication skills determined through an interview, and leadership qualities and community involvement.  Recipients of the Donald W. Banner Diversity Scholarship will receive $5000 payable for the fall semester of the second or third year of law school.  Recipients of the Donald W. Banner Diversity Scholarship who accept and successfully complete the firm's Summer Associate Program may receive an additional $5000 payable for a subsequent semester of law school. 

Applicants will submit the following documents for consideration:  completed application form, resume, academic transcripts (law school. undergraduate/graduate school), writing sample (5-10 pages, legal if available), three references including contact intformation, one-page statement describing how diversity has impacted the candidate.
