Linda P. Campbell brings more than 30 years’ experience as a journalist and commentary writer, with national experience covering legal issues, to the job of coordinating Tulane Law School’s communications. Her reporting career included five years as National Legal Affairs Correspondent for the Chicago Tribune, based in Washington, D.C., and covering the U.S. Supreme Court, the Senate Judiciary Committee, major trials and other developments.
Immediately before joining Tulane Law School in 2013, she wrote editorials and a weekly opinion column for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, winning awards from, among others, the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, Houston Press Club, Associated Press Managing Editors and the Society of Professional Journalists. In 2012, she received the Carmage Walls Commentary Prize from the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association for oped columns about collusion involving the awarding of public contracts.
Campbell received her Master of Studies in Law through Yale’s Fellowship for Journalists program, and she studied journalism at City University in London through a year-long, graduate Rotary International Fellowship.
