Featuring Tulane Legal Clinics

Tulane Law School students have dedicated thousands of hours of legal services to the local community, representing some of the most vulnerable members of society through its legal clinics. Whether protecting an impoverished community from pollution, helping a victim escape a violent relationship, guarding against housing discrimination, fighting against draconian sentencing laws, representing juveniles entangled in the court system, or drafting legislation to improve healthcare coverage for children, Tulane’s clinical programs and the students who have passed through them have transformed the legal landscape of the local and statewide community.

To mark 40 years of service, the clinics are hosting a celebration and reception April 5 to honor those who have elevated what was a fledgling and novel program in 1979 to one of the most innovative in the country today.

The event begins with a celebration and can be used for CLE credit. A reception follows from 6 to 8 p.m.
