Webinar: Anti-Blackness in America’s Immigration System

The Tulane Law Diversity Initiatives Office and Immigrant Rights Clinic will host a virtual discussion on Anti-Blackness in America’s Immigration System on Oct. 27 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Recent images of Haitian migrants attempting to cross the Texas border have renewed debate over America’s immigration policy, and particularly, the role that anti-blackness plays. This panel discussion will explore how racism, discrimination, and bias impacts on black immigrants navigating our country’s immigration system. While pursuing immigration reform, how do we ensure that immigration policies are equitable for all immigrants, that we center black voices in the movement?
