Professor Brazeal graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2010. While at Harvard, he served as Executive Articles Editor of the Harvard Law & Policy Review. He also earned a master's degree in English from Cornell University and anticipates earning his PhD in 2019. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Stanford University.
Upon graduation from Harvard, Professor Brazeal served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Walter Carpeneti of the Alaska Supreme Court. He later served as a law clerk to Judge Shira Scheindlin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He has also served as a public defender in Seattle at the King County Department of Public Defense, and currently serves as a captain in the U.S. Army Reserve JAG Corps.
