Home / Tax scholars gather at Tulane Law March 24
Tulane University Law School hosts the Tulane Tax Roundtable for the seventh year March 24, bringing together scholars from around the United States to discuss the most current tax policy issues.
The roundtable, co-sponsored by Tulane’s Murphy Institute and Tulane Law School, will showcase the drafts and works-in-progress of tax specialists from Tulane and six other universities during the day-long event. Questions being explored include the drawbacks of passing laws based on data leaks (such as information about secret offshore bank accounts) and whether gig economy workers such as Uber drivers should be taxed as business owners (which they’re currently considered) or a different category.
