James McCulloch is a graduate of Tulane University and Tulane Law School and has enjoyed a long and distinguished career as an energy industry executive.
Mr. McCulloch spent 25 years with GlobalSantaFe Corporation, a leading international offshore drilling contractor, and its predecessor companies, serving as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for many years and seeing through the merger with Transocean Corporation in 2007.
He thereafter served for 10 years as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Forum Energy Corporation, a supplier of equipment to the energy industry, prior to his retirement. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sunland Corporation, a leading U.S. pipeline contractor.
Throughout his career, Mr. McCulloch has been well-known and in demand as a lecturer and speaker.
Mr. McCulloch demonstrates a strong commitment to advancing energy law and policy and is dedicated to engaging and educating young people in this critical field. In 2017 Mr. McCulloch endowed the James McCulloch Chair in Energy Law at Tulane University.
