Civil Procedure

This course offers the first-year law student an introduction to civil procedure. Emphasis is placed on the interrelationship between theories of jurisdiction and notions of federalism. The course also focuses on approaches to such matters as service of process, joinder, preliminary motions, multiple claims and parties, amendments, discovery, directed verdicts, summary judgment, res judicata, and collateral estoppel. (4 Credits)
