The Business Law Society (BLS) provides a forum for students interested in practicing or learning about corporate and commercial law. The BLS has established the Business Law Consulting Group, which is associated with the Freeman Consulting Group of Tulane's Freeman School of Business. This partnership allows selected students to consult with actual clients on legal business problems. The BLS annually sponsors a select team of students to participate in the Delaware Moot Court Competition, where students litigate corporate-related legal issues. Throughout the year, the BLS hosts several lunches with the Dean, during which Tulane Law School alumni share their experiences in the business world. Through a stock market competition, students have the opportunity to enhance their investment skills. Ever entrepreneurial, the BLS raises funds through yearly dues, the sale of personalized business cards to students, and the operation of the law school lunch table, which gives members an opportunity to interact with the entire law school. The BLS is exploring a number of other possible activities, including an entrepreneurial clinical experience and an on-line journal.
