Through in-depth workshops and panels, the Public Interest Law Foundation's first conference will highlight the innumerable issues plaguing children today, such as the fate of juveniles serving life without parole and the continuing debate surrounding transracial adoptions.
The conference will also feature a special Katrina panel focusing on the Hurricane's devastating effects on education, the juvenile justice system, children's healthcare, and the child welfare system. Additionally, there will be a group community service project, open to any conference attendees in town during that weekend.
