Edward J. Castaing, Jr.

Edward J. Castaing, Jr. graduated from Tulane Law School in 1971, and worked as an associate with Montgomery, Barnett, Brown and Read (now Montgomery, Barnett, Brown, Read, Hammond & Mintz) in the real estate and corporate section. Looking for the opportunity to become a trial attorney and, particularly, to work with Irvin Dymond, Eddie joined the firm of Dymond and Crull in 1975.  He has practiced extensively in the areas of criminal law, personal injury, and commercial litigation.

Mr. Castaing has tried numerous federal white-collar criminal cases, state and federal drug offenses, and all other state criminal cases.  He has represented corporate and individual clients before federal grand juries and many who faced federal investigations for fraud, environmental violations, antitrust and business crimes of all types.  He has also represented many injured plaintiffs in products liability, medical malpractice, negligence, and torts of all nature. He serves as local counsel for A.W. Chesterton Company in connection with their defense of toxic tort litigation throughout Louisiana.

Mr. Castaing has been a member of the adjunct faculty of Tulane Law School teaching trial advocacy since the inception of the program in 1977, through the present, and has served as co-director since 2007.  He has been active in little league and booster club activities with his family. He has served as a member of the board of directors, president, commissioner of baseball/softball, and baseball, softball, and basketball coach of the Carrollton Booster organization, which serves over 2,000 participants in the Uptown New Orleans district. He is also active in church affairs.

Since 1983, Mr. Castaing has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and he is listed in Superlawyers for White-Collar Defense.  He is also a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
