Biography

Peter Koerber is the attorney for EDG, Inc., an engineering firm that designs facilities for producing hydrocarbons offshore, with principal offices in Metairie, Houston, Angola, India and Singapore. Koerber graduated from The University of Chicago Law School; served as law clerk to Justice Walter V. Schaefer of the Supreme Court of Illinois and to Chief Justice Frank R. Kenison of the New Hampshire Supreme Court; was a member of the staff of Gov. Dan Walker of Illinois; and practiced law with three New Orleans firms for 32 years. Initially, he worked on commercial litigation and later handled business, real estate and securities matters. He has taught at Tulane Law School since spring of 1982, offering courses in Buying and Selling Businesses, Agency and Partnership, Pensions and Employee Benefits, Venture Capital and Initial Public Offerings. He also has taught for shorter periods at LSU Law Center and Loyola New Orleans College of Law.
