Biography

Brittany Sloan, a South Florida native, is a 2008 graduate of Emory University and a 2012 graduate of Tulane Law School. During law school, Sloan was a Senior Fellow on the Journal of Technology of Intellectual Property, in the Environmental Law Clinic, a PILF member, and a summer intern at the Eastern District of Louisiana for the Hon. Ivan L.R. Lemelle. After graduation, Sloan was a Staff Attorney at the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and then Law Clerk to the Hon. Regina B. Woods at the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans. Following her clerkships, she was an associate and then partner at Frilot L.L.C. practicing medical malpractice defense for seven years. She was eager to return to her alma mater and work in higher education. She lives Uptown near campus with her husband, Kevin, a plaintiff attorney and 2011 Tulane Law grad, daughter named Astoria, a gigantic Goldendoodle, and two cats.
