Biography
Bruce Warfield Hamilton joined Tulane Law in 2025 as a Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor of Law in the First Amendment Clinic.
Hamilton received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where he was a member of the Louisiana Law Review. He also earned his B.A. in English from Washington College in Maryland. Hamilton comes to us from his own firm, Warfield Hamilton Law, where he focused on civil rights, criminal defense, and appellate advocacy.
He previously served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Kimball on the Louisiana Supeme Court, as Senior Supervising Attorney at the Southern Poverty Law Center, and as Senior Staff Attorney at the ACLU of Louisiana. Hamilton brings extensive experience in civil rights litigation, policy advocacy, and supervision of junior lawyers in public interest practice.
