Julia Harter is an attorney on the legal team at Excel Sports Management, a premier sports management and marketing agency. In her role, Harter drafts and negotiates a variety of representation and sponsorship agreements across Excel's football, basketball, baseball, golf, media, and properties divisions, while overseeing athlete agent compliance and registration across all states.
Harter earned her Juris Doctor and a certificate in Sports Law from Tulane University Law School ('25), where she served as Vice President of the Sports Law Society and as a board member of both the Women in Sports Law Symposium and the Tulane Professional Football Negotiation Competition. During law school, she gained experience through internships with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, which served as the Host Committee for Super Bowl LIX. She continues to support her alma mater as a mentor in the Tulane Sports Law mentorship program.
She also holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University at Buffalo ('22), where she double majored in Political Science and Legal Studies. As a Western New York native now based in New York City, Harter is an avid Buffalo Bills fan and fantasy football enthusiast.
