Biography

Jared Miller joined Tulane Law in 2025 as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Law in the Civil Rights and Federal Practice Clinic.

He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he served as a senior editor on the Columbia Law Review, and his B.A., magna cum laude, in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Miller comes to us from Rosen Bien Galvan & Grunfeld LLP in San Francisco, where he worked on complex civil rights litigation, including a class action lawsuit aimed at reforming the provision of mental health care in California prisons. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade as a public defender in New Orleans, where he supervised attorneys and litigated misdemeanor and felony cases from arrest through trial, specializing in representing clients with mental health disabilities. Miller brings deep experience in criminal defense, civil rights, and mentoring junior lawyers.
