Tulane Corporate Law Institute takes place March 6-7
The 37th Annual Tulane Corporate Law Institute is set to take place on March 6-7, 2025, at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans.
Since its inception in 1988, the institute has been recognized as a premier conference for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate, and securities law, attracting top practitioners, judiciary members from the Delaware Supreme Court and Court of Chancery, leading corporate counsel, and Wall Street investment banker; Fortune magazine called it the “Davos for Wall Street.”

The conference explores trends in the complex world of mergers and acquisitions and provides a live classroom for Tulane students to learn from the top minds in the industry. The two-day event will feature panels and guest speakers discussing topics such as global markets, M&A issues, ethics and professionalism, corporate governance, and the media. Notable past panelists have included officials from the Securities and Exchange Commission, members of the Delaware judiciary, and prominent figures in corporate law.

Following the institute, Tulane Law School will host the annual Tulane Corporate & Securities Law Roundtable on March 8, 2025. Organized by corporate law Professor Ann Lipton, the roundtable features discussion by some of the country’s leading scholars on corporate and securities law on their works in progress on emerging legal issues corporate and securities regulation. The public is invited to attend and participate in the discussion, free of charge; the event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the John Giffen Weinmann Hall, Room 257, 6329 Freret St.

Lipton is an experienced securities and corporate litigator who has handled class actions involving some of the world’s largest companies. A former law clerk to Supreme Court Justice David Souter, she joined Tulane’s law faculty in 2015. In 2016, she was named as Tulane's first Michael Fleishman Associate Professor in Business Law & Entrepreneurship.
