Tulane's 31st Biennial Admiralty Law Institute March 25-27
The biennial Tulane Admiralty Law Institute (ALI) returns this spring from March 25th to the 27th. It will take place on Tulane’s uptown campus, in Dixon Hall.
Established in 1965, ALI is the oldest and largest continuing legal education program devoted to maritime law. Every other spring, hundreds of legal academics, lawyers, and industry professionals from around the world meet to discuss matters within the field. Many of the papers presented at the conference are included in Tulane’s Maritime Law Journal.
This year’s program is centered on the theme “Above the Plimsoll Line.” The phrase refers to the mark on a ship’s hull that indicates safe loading levels and will frame discussions on topics including ocean supply chains, the allocation of risk in maritime contracts, and more.
Tulane Law School is widely recognized as the global leader in maritime law, and ALI reflects the longstanding commitment it has to the maritime law industry. To learn more and register, please visit here.
