Submissions

The Journal welcomes articles for consideration from current law students and those that have recently graduated from law school, regardless of location.

We are now accepting submissions for Volume 31, which will be published in the spring of 2024.  While the submission deadline is rolling, we ask that applicants submit their articles for consideration sooner rather than later. There is a rolling application deadline, but the earlier the Journal receives a submission the better chance that article has of being published.

The requirements for consideration are:

  1. The paper may be authored or co-authored by a law student, a law professor, or a legal professional;
  2. The paper should be no longer than 40 pages of double-spaced text, though longer works will be considered (excluding footnotes or endnotes); and
  3. The paper must be on a topic that has some direct contemporary relevance to the sports industry.

The Editor in Chief for Volume 30 is Russell Schmidt. If you have any questions about the Journal or requirements for submission, you may contact Russell Schmidt or Robert Alston, Senior Articles Editor, at sportslawjournal@tulane.edu.

Please submit articles (and resumes) via email to: Robert Alston, Senior Articles Editor, at sportslawjournal@tulane.edu. We ask that all submissions for consideration be made in Microsoft Word format.
