
Jaimie Wolf is an accomplished legal professional, with close to 20 years of in-house experience in the professional sports, live events, media/entertainment, mobile gambling and technology industries. Jaimie is currently Vice President & General Counsel for Major League Soccer’s Philadelphia Union. In this role, Jaimie provides direct oversight of all legal affairs for the organization, providing regular advice and counsel on day-to-day matters as well as to executive management on long-term strategic decisions across a full spectrum of business and team front office departments. Jaimie’s responsibilities cover all aspects of the operation of all Union Sports & Entertainment properties (which includes an MLS NEXT team, a professional soccer development academy, a muti-tenant office building and an in-development multi-purpose sports and field complex), and he partners with key business stakeholders to support strategies and draft a full-range of documents that enable achievement of commercial objectives while appropriately managing legal risk.
Prior to joining the Union, Jaimie was outside legal counsel to a number of professional sports teams, leagues and governing bodies as part of Sixth Man Sports and Entertainment and also supported the growth of the legal placement practice group at TurnkeyZRG, a global talent placement firm focusing on the sports, entertainment, live events and music industries. Jaimie’s prior in-house experience also includes serving as VP of Legal for PointsBet USA (2020-22), a leading US sports book that was ultimately sold and rebranded as Fanatics Sportsbook, VP, Legal for Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (2013-20), a multifaceted sports and entertainment holding company, where Jaimie provided direct oversight of all legal affairs of the Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Mammoth, Colorado Rapids, Denver Nuggets, Ball Arena, Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Paramount Theatre and Major League Fishing, and provided additional support for AltitudeTV, The Sportsman Channel and The Outdoor Network as well as several media production companies, and the New York Islanders (2003-10), where he managed all day-to-day legal affairs for the team and its business units.
Jaimie holds a B.A. from the University of Delaware where he was also a member of the track and field team during his freshman and sophomore years. Jaimie earned his J.D. from Tulane Law School, graduating cum laude and with a Specialization in Sports Law. While at Tulane Jaimie was the Editor-in-Chief of The Sports Lawyer’s Journal, and earned academic awards in professional sports law, amateur sports law and labor law classes. Jaimie is licensed to practice law in the states of New York, Colorado and Pennsylvania and is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and Association of Corporate Counsel.
