Tulane Law School has a long history as a publisher of legal scholarship, beginning with the Tulane Law Review (previously the Southern Law Quarterly), which began in 1916. Today the Law School publishes eight law reviews covering various aspects of the legal field. Students may earn academic credit for their contributions to legal scholarship via their participation in one of seven prestigious student-edited journals which are sponsored or otherwise affiliated with the Law School. The eighth journal, the esteemed Tulane European & Civil Law Forum, is run by Professor Vernon Valentine Palmer.
