Intellectual Property & Entrepreneurship

IP and Entrepreneurship is a course that introduces law students to the kinds of questions that arise in new social ventures, start-ups, non-profits and other early-stage projects. This will be a hands-on course where students will be introduced to the practice of IP and entrepreneurship through a variety of means, including a standard casebook, guest attorneys and entrepreneurs, and specialized final writing projects. This course is recommended for students interested in the following areas: business, IP, non-profits, and solo practice. Each student will be researching and writing a 3-4 page paper on a specific topic for the Innovator's Almanac: A Workbook. The grade is based on an objective exam (75%) and written work (a short paper) (25%). Prerequisite: IP Survey (3 Credits)
