Biography

Tasia Kastanek joined The Environmental Law Clinic at Tulane in the summer of 2026 as an Clinical Assistant Professor of Law. Previously, Kastanek was an Associate Regional Counsel with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in the Chicago office.  She represented the Agency in civil administrative and judicial enforcement matters under a variety of federal environmental laws, including CERCLA, TSCA, CWA, and CAA. She also specialized in Tribal matters and compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act.
