About the Competition
The Tulane Entertainment and Negotiation Competition, run by members of the Tulane Entertainment and Arts Law Society, is a simulated legal negotiation competition focused on contract negotiation and dispute resolution covering real-life scenarios involving music, film, television, and emerging media. The Competition will provide participants with hands on exercises, entertainment and media industry focused prompts, and networking opportunities. Experts from the entertainment industry will serve as judges for each scenario. The competition is held annually in the fall academic semester.

Launched in November 2024, TENC is the first student-led entertainment negotiation competition in the country open to teams nationwide. TENC was created to offer law students an influential, hands-on opportunity to build real-world negotiations skills while engaging with the rapidly evolving entertainment and media industries. In just one year, TENC grew from a promising inaugural event into one of the most exciting and rising competitions at the law school. With sixteen teams and over thirty judges, the competition focuses on immersing participants in a wide range of industry-specific scenarios, where each round is crafted to mirror the complex, high-stakes negotiations today that define the entertainment world today.
