At Tulane Law School, students integrate theory and practice by engaging with local, national, and global communities. Experiential courses and programs help students chart a career path, gain invaluable skills and mentors, and cultivate a commitment to public service.
Clinics
In our clinical programs, students practice law and represent clients—in civil rights, criminal justice, domestic violence, environmental, immigration, intellectual property, juvenile justice, and public policy matters—all under the supervision and mentorship of Tulane faculty members.
Labs and Practicums
Labs and Practicums offer live-client experiences under supervision of adjunct faculty practitioners.
Externships
In our externship programs, students gain real world experience working in judicial chambers, government agencies, public interest organizations, and in-house counsel offices while earning credit and performing complementary coursework.
Simulation Courses
In our simulation courses, such as Trial Advocacy, Negotiation & Mediation, and Tulane Intersession Boot Camps, students gain skills that substantially increase readiness for litigation and transactional practice.
Pro Bono Service
As the first law school to require pro bono service, community engagement in the public interest remains an essential part of our mission.
