As Assistant Dean for Academic Services, Deleanor Kirkpatrick is responsible for managing schedules for the major academic processes throughout the year, including registration, examinations, graduation, and dismissals. Additionally, Dean Kirkpatrick oversees collecting, recording, and reporting information associated with Tulane Law students’ enrollment and performance. The Office of Academic Services also monitors students’ progress to ensure compliance with law school policies.
Before joining Tulane’s Office of Academic Services, she spent 11 years serving in different enrollment management capacities. Kirkpatrick served as University Registrar at Langston University before joining Tulane Law. In this role, she modernized student services, empowering the university to transform operations, improve efficiency and collaboration, and provide quality student and faculty services across four campuses. Kirkpatrick has served on various university leadership committees, including Data Standards and Curriculum and Policy. Before serving as University Registrar, she served as the inaugural department leader for the urban campuses at Langston University. She led enrollment management services across two campuses. Kirkpatrick was instrumental in revamping scholarship allocations, increasing the utilization of technology for student services, and centralizing enrollment management services.
Before joining Langston University, she was a member of the Office of Admissions at Oklahoma State University. She was instrumental in creating targeted recruitment strategies to increase diversity and served on the university’s Test-Optional Task Force. Dean Kirkpatrick previously presented at conferences on enrollment management and leadership. She is a two-time graduate of Oklahoma State University, earning her B.S. in Nutrition and Exercise Science and a M.S. in Educational Leadership Studies with a concentration in Higher Education.
