Community Property

This course is a comparative study of marital property regimes that involve the distinction between the separate and community property of spouses. The course examines the law of the eight community property states and Wisconsin, which has a version of community property based on the Uniform Marital Property Act. Special attention will be given to Louisiana law. (2 Credits)
