Biography
Aimee Hebert is a member of the Kelly Hart & Pitre law firm where her practice focuses on oil and gas litigation both at the trial level and the appellate level. An experienced litigator and appellate practitioner, Aimee has represented clients in cases covering a wide variety of oil and gas topics, including lease maintenance, servitude maintenance, implied obligations, royalty payments, and operating agreements. She has twice been recognized by Chambers USA as an up-and-comer in the areas of Energy and Natural Resources Law. Aimee frequently writes and speaks on oil and gas topics.
Aimee's involvement in the oil and gas industry goes beyond the courtroom. She is a member of the Advisory Council of the Louisiana Mineral Law Institute. She authored Chapter 7, Oil and Gas Leases - Classifications and Consequences, in Louisiana Mineral Law Treatise (Patrick H. Martin ed., Claitor's Publishing Division, 2012) and has been invited to speak on oil and gas topics by various industry groups including the Louisiana Mineral Law Institute, Professional Landman's Association of New Orleans (PLANO), the Lafayette Association of Petroleum Landmen, and the Women's Energy Network. Aimee has served on the boards of the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association (LOGA), PLANO, and the New Orleans Chapter of the Energy Bar Association.
Prior to joining Kelly Hart & Pitre in 2014, Aimee practiced with Gordon Arata from 2003 - 2014. Prior to Gordon Arata she practiced with a firm in Lafayette, Louisiana and was one of a team of attorneys who taught Mineral Law at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as a required course for its Professional Land & Resource Management Program. Aimee then clerked for the Honorable W. Eugene Davis of the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals from 2002-2003.
