Law students become published authors through seminar with Alan Childress
In the recent spring seminar ”Advanced Legal Profession,“ students wrote essays and research chapters exploring legal ethics and important current events in the legal profession. Their works were collected and compiled for publication as Hot Topics in the Legal Profession - 2017. The book includes a foreword by Childress.
“Our students chose topics that they found interesting and current, then vetted those ideas with their classmates to make sure other people would be interested, too,” says Childress. “They helped each other with research ideas, editing, and citation style. It was more of an exercise in teamwork than most law classes allow, and the coherence of the volume as a whole shows it.”
Hot Topics in the Legal Profession - 2017 is available in paperback, hardcover, and ebook formats such as Kindle and iBooks and is available at major outlets such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google Play and iTunes.
Proceeds from every purchase of this book, in ebook or print formats, will benefit Tulane Law School's Public Interest Law Foundation, a nonprofit student organization which supports placing students into public interest jobs and providing indigent representation.
