Tulane Law Joins University's First Giving Day April 18

April 13, 2018 6:52 AM

Tulane is launching its first-ever Giving Day on Wednesday, April 18 and the Law School is taking part and encouraging alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends to come together and #GiveGreen during this 24-hour period.

We are fortunate enough to have several law alumni issuing giving challenges that will maximize the impact of all who participate:

When 30 people give to the Michael Starks Fund for Diversity Initiatives, $3000 will be given to this same fund, which honors the first African American to graduate from Tulane Law and expands the recruitment and support of minority students at the law school. Tulane’s Black Law Alumni Chairs in Washington D.C., Kimani Little (L ‘05), Sonya Baskerville (L ‘92) and Joe West (L ‘86), have pledged this generous challenge gift. Save the date, and visit this site on Wednesday to participate.

Class of 1982 alumna Adele Stern Siegmund is matching all gifts up to $2,500. Siegmund is donating her match to Tulane Law scholarships in memory of her parents who supported her through law school. Give and double the impact of your gift here on April 18.

Thank you for your support! For all those who are interested in promoting Giving Day, visit GiveGreen.Tulane.edu and sign up to be an ambassador. We look forward to celebrating our collective impact on April 18!
