Tulane Law Shines among Top Schools for Big Law Placement

Tulane University Law School has again been recognized as a top national performer in placing graduates at the country’s largest law firms, according to the 2025 Law.com Go-To Law Schools report.

The annual ranking, compiled by Law.com and the National Law Journal, evaluates the top 50 law schools based on the percentage of graduates who accepted associate positions at the 500 largest U.S. law firms. Tulane Law maintained a strong position, with approximately 20 percent of the Class of 2024 beginning their careers in “Big Law.”

This marks Tulane’s fifth consecutive year of improved Big Law outcomes, reinforcing the school’s consistent presence on the list. In last year’s NLJ 100 placement rankings, Tulane climbed to No. 31 nationally—its highest placement to date—up from No. 41 in 2022.

“These rankings reflect the strength of our students, the quality of our legal education, and the growing national demand for Tulane Law graduates,” said law Dean Marcilynn Burke. “We are proud to see our alumni thriving at the country’s most prominent firms.”

Tulane’s reach into Big Law extends beyond the Gulf South region. Graduates have secured positions at major firms in New York, Texas, Washington, D.C., and California. The school’s geographic diversity and robust alumni network have helped position its students for national success.

Tulane Law’s Career Development Office supports students with more than 5,000 job postings annually, regional job fairs, and a range of interview opportunities with employers in key legal markets.

The Law.com Go-To Law Schools list is based on employment outcomes reported to the American Bar Association and reflects the employment status of 2024 graduates as of March 2025.
