Tulane U.S.-China Energy and Trade Law Forum to be held Oct. 28.

Growing trade and investment between the U.S. and China is the subject of the annual Tulane Center for Energy Law ‘s U.S.-China Energy and Trade Law Forum Oct. 28.

The event, to be held at the law school’s John Giffen Weinmann Hall, 6329 Freret St.,  from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., features four panels with global experts from industry, government, academia and others to discuss issues of energy and trade between the U.S. and China. A reception will follow the last panel.

The panels will address:

  • The status of  China’s Belt and Road Initiative;
  • China & Louisiana’s growing partnership;
  • Investment trends between the U.S. and China;
  • The status of the US-China relationship in light of the Russian-Ukrainian War.

The event is happening both in-person and remotely, and while Continuing Legal Education credits are available, they are only credited to those who are attending in person.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
