Biography

Damon A. Kirin has been practicing law throughout Louisiana and in other states since graduating cum laude from Tulane Law School in 1996. completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science and graduating with distinction, in 1993.  

Upon graduation from Tulane, Kirin was selected for a judicial clerkship and worked for nearly a decade with two different law firms in a wide variety of practice areas. He represented both plaintiffs (injured victims) and defendants (insurance companies and other corporate entitles) involved in toxic tort litigation and environmental law as well as insurance claims, complex litigation and serious personal injuries. 

In 2005, Kirin founded the firm of Diliberto & Kirin in the Greater New Orleans area, with affiliated offices throughout Louisiana and in Gulf South region. He remains a managing member, and his practice includes real estate law, commercial litigation and other areas. He has authored several notes for the Louisiana Bar Journal on toxic tort litigation and environmental insurance law. He has served as a moderator and panelist in continuing education symposiums in Louisiana relating to environmental law and toxic tort litigation.
