Joseph Henderson

Joe Henderson joined Shell Oil Company in 1984, initially providing tax counsel for Shell’s international exploration and production division.  He subsequently provided tax counsel on Shell’s major acquisitions and dispositions, and left Shell in 1999 as Associate General Tax Counsel.  Joe joined Entergy Corporation in 1999 as General Tax Counsel, where he is responsible for all tax matters.  He provided tax counsel for Entergy’s acquisition of several nuclear power stations, the formation and eventual sale of a power trading partnership, and the disposition of several foreign businesses.  He also successfully managed tax litigation, including a 9-0 win at the U.S. Supreme Court regarding whether Entergy was entitled to foreign tax credits for certain U.K. taxes.  Joe teaches Advanced Corporate Tax.
