The sports industry knows: the Tulane Sports Law Program has a winning formula. Tulane was the first law school in the nation to offer a certificate of specialization in sports law in 1993. Since then, hundreds of students have joined the Tulane Sports Law Program, making it a go-to source of talent and insight for the sports industry.
Under the leadership of Professor Gabe Feldman since 2007, the Program has developed an unparalleled suite of opportunities for students– four nationally-acclaimed sports law negotiation competitions, the Women in Sports Law Symposium, the Entertainment and Sports Law Conference, a sports law mentorship program, newsletter and journal writing and editing opportunities, internships, and much more– to match the academic rigor of the Sports Law Certificate.
Prospective law students seek us out, and sports professionals recruit our students, because the Tulane Sports Law Program prepares students for the real-world challenges and opportunities in today’s sports world, with an emphasis on practical skills and learning. In 2022 alone, over 160 sports professionals, including representatives from 38 major league teams, engaged with our students through our various initiatives.
