The Tulane Entertainment & Art Law Society (TEALS) is a student-led community for those pursuing careers across entertainment, media, and the arts. Building on New Orleans’ creative ecosystems and a growing network of visiting practitioners and alumni, TEALS delivers year-round programming—practice-ready workshops, speaker series, mentorship, and community engagement—focused on contracts, licensing, IP, clearance, NIL, and production.
In the past two years, TEALS has expanded significantly, launching the Tulane Entertainment Negotiation Competition (TENC)—the law school’s newest competition and on track to be its fastest-growing—while increasing placements in externships and industry-facing projects. TEALS connects students with real-world experience, develops practical advocacy and deal-making skills, and serves as a hub for collaboration between Tulane Law and the wider creative economy of New Orleans.
