Get Help from the Women's Prison Project

The Women’s Prison Project is a collaboration between Tulane Law School’s Criminal Justice and Domestic Violence Clinics.

We represent criminalized survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and trafficking, with a particular focus on survivors charged or imprisoned after killing an abuser in self-defense or for having committed crimes under an abuser’s coercion or duress.

If you or someone you know is a criminalized survivor with a case in Louisiana, we might be able to assist with:

  • Pre-trial representation
  • Criminal defense
  • Post-conviction relief
  • Pardon/clemency
  • Parole
  • Referrals
  • Finding an expert witness
